Die Raftinggirls haben sich nach der kräftezehrenden Deutschen Meisterschaft erst einmal über den Globus verteilt und die einmonatige Trainingspause anderweitig genossen. Bea reiste durch Indien, zum Glück weit ab von Mumbai, um sich mit Willy einer Ayurveda-Kur mit viel Schlaf zu gönnen. Höchstwahrscheinlich ist sie aber trotz der verschriebenen Ruhepause auf alle umliegenden Berge gejumpt. Lilli brachte die Zeit in Nepal rum, sie reiste mit James und weiteren Schweizer-Paddel-Kollegen, um an ihrer ersten Expedition teilzunehmen. Nebenbei holte die sich noch die Bronzemedaille bei dem “Himalayan Whitewater Festival” und bewies somit mal wieder ihr Talent als Allrounderin. Im Moment wird sie wohl in und um Laax in den besten Powderhängen zu finden sein… (Grüße nach Versam an dieser Stelle!) Das Münchner Kindl Steffi und die Augsburger Sylvia, Linda, Ich und unsere neue Teamverstärkung Evelyn plagten sich, während andere sich bei 30 Grad kühle Kokosdrinks in die Kehle schütteten, bei extrem winterlichen Bedingungen zu Außdauereinheiten oder Joggingsessions an den Eiskanal.
Nachdem heute meine “wohlverdienten” Winterferien begonnen haben und ich nach Innsbruck zum boarden fahren werde, während Linda ebenfalls Indien für einen Monat bereist, Steffi ihre letzten Tage vor ihrem Einsatz in Afghanistan mit ihrer Familie verbringt werden wir vor dem Fest nicht mehr zusammen im Boot sitzen!
Dennoch haben wir die vorweihnachtliche Zeit konstruktiv genutzt um den Verlauf für das Jahr 2009 zu besprechen. Da meine Abiturprüfungstermine mir einen Zeitraum von ca. 2 Wochen zwischen Schriftlichem und Mündlichem ermöglichen, können wir die WM 09 in Bosnien nun doch in der Alten WM/EM08 - Besetzung bestreiten, was mich natürlich besonders freut. Für unseren mentalen/motivierende und ausgeichenden Teamsupport ist auch schon gesorgt, unsere Ersatzdame Evelyn a.k.a. ” Eve” wird uns voraussichtlich nach Süd/Ost begleiten.
Wir möchten allen “Fans” oder ab und an vorbeistreunenden Wasserfreunden ein schönes Fest und nen schmerzfreien Rutsch ins nächste aufregende Jahr wünschen.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
